Did you know over 80,000 young people are homeless in the UK every year.
I participated in the LandAid sleep-out by sleeping rough on the streets of London to help raise awareness and support this worthwhile cause. We helped to raise over £140,000, every penny of which goes toward the rebuild of the city YMCA and helps to bring more children in off the streets.
It was a truly humbling experience, the coldest March day on record at -12C, so a little chilly, but something I’m glad I was able to be a part of. It was certainly an eye opener, very sobering. I know I certainly view homelessness from a different perspective after my experiences here last night.
